چکیده

1. The purpose of the linear fit in Fig.2 was to show a trend line to illustrate the ab-sent correlation of time-to-treat versus visual gain. We figured that this is appropriate as visual gain data has a normal distribution. But then again you are perfectly right that this is not useful for a dedicated reader if there is no full regression analysis in the results and methods section. In consequence we now have removed both, regression line in Fig.2 and the statment on page 5, paragraph 1.

Outcomes of Intravitreal bevacizumab in patients with acute branch retinal vein occlusion

Introduction: The study aimed to evaluate the long-term effects of intravitreal bevacizumab on macular edema and visual acuity in patients with Acute branch Retinal Vein Occlusion (BRVO) that had not received any treatment. Methods: 22 patients in first week of BRVO onset that was diagnosed with flurcein angiography were treated with intravitreal injection of 1.25 mg bevacizumab. Macular thicke...

Baseline subfoveal choroidal thickness as an indicator for bevacizumab outcomes in central retinal vein occlusion

Background: Retinal vein occlusions are one of the most common form of retinal vascular disorders and could lead to vision loss due to macular edema, macular ischemia and sequelae from neovascularization. Anti-venous endothelial growth factor (anti-VEGF) treatment is the choice strategy of treatment for patients with macular edema secondary to central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO). There is an ...

Treatment of Branch Retinal Vein Occlusion induced Macular Edema with Bevacizumab

BACKGROUND Branch retinal vein occlusion is a frequent cause of visual loss with currently insufficient treatment options. We evaluate the effect of Bevacizumab (Avastin) treatment in patients with macular edema induced by branch retinal vein occlusion. METHODS Retrospective analysis of 32 eyes in 32 patients with fluorescein angiography proven branch retinal vein occlusion, macular edema and...

The treatment of branch retinal vein occlusion with bevacizumab.

PURPOSE OF REVIEW New treatment modalities for branch retinal vein occlusion have recently been introduced. The role of intravitreal bevacizumab injections will be discussed and compared with laser photocoagulation and other novel intravitreal pharmacotherapies. RECENT FINDINGS Argon laser photocoagulation is the single treatment for branch retinal vein occlusion that has been shown to reduce...

Comparison Between Intravitreal Bevacizumab and Triamcinolone for Macular Edema Secondary to Branch Retinal Vein Occlusion

PURPOSE To compare the effects of intravitreal bevacizumab to those of triamcinolone acetonide injection for the treatment of macular edema secondary to branch retinal vein occlusion. METHODS This retrospective study included 50 eyes of 50 patients who received a single injection of intravitreal bevacizumab (1.25 mg/0.05 mL, 22 eyes) or triamcinolone acetonide (4 mg/0.1 mL, 28 eyes) as the on...
